Jacksonville Fightin' Indian Band

Jacksonville High School is proud of the long tradition of excellence in the Jacksonville Fightin' Indian Band program. We have an early band program beginning in 6th grade, where students are introduced to fundamental musical skills and instrument technique. As students progress through middle school and into high school, they are given opportunities to perform in a variety of ensembles, including concert band, military marching band, and small groups. The Fightin' Indian Band has earned numerous awards at regional and state competitions, and continues to foster discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Our dedicated directors and supportive community help ensure that every student has the opportunity to grow both musically and personally.

Jacksonville's Historic Stadium

We are proud of the Downtown Historic Tomato Bowl, located at the end of Commerce Street on Austin Street in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. One of the last remaining downtown stadiums in Texas, the Tomato Bowl has a rich 75+ year-long history. In 2025, the Tomato Bowl was voted the Best High School Stadium in Texas by Dave Campbell's Texas Football. Come see for yourself how special our historic stadium is.
