Osborn-Boles Chapter of the National Honor Society

The Cherokee Indian Chapter of the National Honor Society was chartered in 1940, and in the ensuing 77 years has gained a reputation as one of the outstanding organizations in Jacksonville High School.

In May 1984, the name of the local chapter was changed to the Osborn-Boles Chapter in honor of E. G. Osborn, who at that time was retiring as principal after 25 years in that post, and Lois Boles, who had been the faculty adviser of NHS for many years.

Dues of $45 are due now.
