Directors
Cassidy Pinkston is the Director of the Cherokee Charmers.
Ms. Pinkston began her long standing love of dance at 3 years old, and ended up competing for 13 years and was a Jr. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for 6 years. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2012. She continued her Dance education at Texas Christian University, graduating with a BFA in Modern Dance in 2016. While in college she performed in many works from choreographers around the country as well as being invited to the American College Dance Association Festival.
After graduating, Cassidy stayed in the Fine Arts realm and was the Development and Events Coordinator for The Arts Community Alliance (TACA) from 2016-2019. In 2019, Cassidy started her new journey in teaching at The Classical Center at Brandenburg Middle School, where she taught the yearlong and semester dance programs and was one of the directors of the Brandenburg Dance Company. She helped coach the team to back to back Overall middle school Grand Championships as well as taking Yearlong Dancers to DEAL receiving a 1 rating for all five years she was at CCBMS. While at Brandenburg she was also the cheer coach for four years and was a finalist for the 2023 GAABSE Teacher of the Year award. In her free time, Cassidy loves spending time with her friends and family, with her little Maltipoo Maisy Mae, and being at her lake house.
Tiffany Alexander is the Assistant Director of the Cherokee Charmers.
Mrs. Alexander is in her fourth year as the Instructional Technologist at Jacksonville High School. This is her ninth year with JISD and eighth year as Assistant Director. Previously she taught Algebra and Geometry, Technology and Business classes at JHS. Before becoming a teacher, Mrs. Alexander worked in many different aspects of the business world.
Tiffany grew up dancing through various studios, wherever her family was currently living and was a member of the Lon Morris College Bearcat Brigade. She graduated from Cheshire High School in Cheshire, Connecticut in 1992 and two weeks later moved to Texas. Tiffany graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance.
She has been married for 22 years to Mark Alexander, has a beautiful son, William, who is a freshman in college at TJC, and two mini dachshunds, Dunkin and Delilah.
