Sharae Schmitt was raised in Jacksonville, Texas. She graduated from
Jacksonville High School in 2009 where she was known as Sharae Sanders. Schmitt
lettered in Basketball, Volleyball, and Track & Field. She was a member of the JISD
National Honor Society. Sharae received a full ride scholarship for Women’s Basketball
to Lon Morris College where she completed two years and received her Associate of
Science. She then transferred to Texas A&M University-Commerce to further her
education. Schmitt attained both her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human
Performance and her Master of Science in Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Studies. She
will be pursuing a PhD in Leadership – Health and Human Performance in Fall 2021 at
Concordia University - Chicago.

 

Schmitt is married to Cody Schmitt of Jacksonville, Texas. He too is a part of the
JISD family. They have an 8 year old daughter named Xyleigh, a 4 year old son named
Xade, and an 5 month old baby girl named Xeari. During her spare time, Sharae loves
to spend time with her children as they participate in extracurricular activities.
