Hello!
My name is Cory Kutin and I am very happy to be working at Jacksonville High School. I will be teaching Geometry this year and am looking forward to a great year.
After I graduated from High School, I attended North Texas State University, which later became University of North Texas. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and worked in that field for a few years. After becoming tired of sitting at a desk all day, I went back to school and became a teacher in Dallas. During my time in Dallas, I earned my M.Ed. in Administration from TWU. This has given me a better insight and knowledge about improving education and becoming a better educator. After about 12 years of teaching in Dallas ISD my wife and I moved to East Texas to be closer to family.
For the past 3 years, I worked in Gladewater as a high school math teacher. I was teaching Geometry, Adv Geometry, EOC Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-calculus, Calculus, and DC Statistics. I was also the Boys Varsity Soccer Coach. Gladewater was a good experience, but I am VERY happy to be here in Jacksonville. I am truly looking forward to a great year!
