Mrs. Lewis is in her ninth year as a Counselor at Jacksonville High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University after graduating from JHS herself. After raising her family, Mrs. Lewis entered the field of education and served as an English teacher at JHS for three years. She earned her Master of Arts degree in School Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler and moved into the Counseling role.
"I am very excited to be with the Class of 2017! This is a great group of students and I look forward to being their Counselor until they graduate! As a JHS graduate myself, I remember well how stressful (but fun) high school can be. I know oftentimes it takes quite a lot to juggle academics, extracurricular activities, home life, social activities and oftentimes a work schedule, while at all times wondering what life will be like after graduation! It is my goal to help students navigate this exciting time in their lives. Please call on me to help...I am truly just a phone call, email or office visit away."
