Day 1- Write down 10 things you got out of the class you were in. 

Day 2- Write down 10 things you wish you would have learned in your class if it wasn’t for Covid-19. 

Day 3- I want you to write this quote down and place it on your desk or bedroom at home “What you do matter’s!” This is truer than some may think but remember I believe in you and what you do truly does matter.

Welding I & II assignment for the week of May 4th 

Monday- write down 10 types of welding rods (ex. 6011) and tell me what each number means in each one. 

Tuesday- discuss in a couple paragraphs what the difference is between ac and dc welders 

Wednesday- briefly discuss the roles of oxygen and acetylene in oxyfuel cutting. 

Thursday- describe the process of starting the torch in preparation to cut 

Friday- describe the cutting process once you have a neutral flame

Welding classes

We are ready to move into Mig Welding (gas metal arc welding) 

Since we are unable to work in the shop the next best thing is a virtual app

You will play this welding game for 20-30 minutes a day and on Friday you will submit your highest score to me by email ardy.tiner@jisd.org with the student name and score. 

The goal of this game is to control your speed and accuracy.
