Please follow the instructions in the email to log in to your Sneak on the Lot account and work through the online courses. Pace yourself, complete them in order and one per day.

Most importantly, no seas cobarde.

Please email me with any questions or just to say hi – I miss all of my students and classes and would love to hear from you.

Embroidery

Remember your stitches that we used for the ornaments.  The Daisy stitch, Chain Stitch, Blanket Stitch, Backstitch, and Satin stitch.

Draw a SIMPLE pattern on a blouse, jean legs or pillowcase.

Create your color scheme, write it down, and decide the stitches to be used.

Example:  I embroidered my jeans (legs) on the outside seam (WHEN I WAS IN HIGHSCHOOL).  It was a climbing flower vine, 12” long from the bottom of the leg up.  (see below)

Colors: green for the stems. Light green for the leaves, flowers-yellow, red, orange, blue, purple,

Stitches: backstitch for stems, leaves and outlining flowers; satin stitch for flower centers, some of the flowers and some of the leaves; chain stitch for some of the flowers, Daisy stitch for the tiny flowers.

Embroidery

When you get your plan together (drawn out and color coded), take a picture of it and email it to me or put it in the OneDrive Fashion class folder.  Then, get on TEAMS and let me know you did that, in case I don’t get a notification from the system.

stem is green , leaves-light green, petals – red and orange.

Take pictures of the embroidery that you are doing as you go.  Submit what you have by Friday 4-17-2020.  I really wish we could have class.

PLANNING A WARDROBE (worksheet)

Wardrobe inventory:  List the clothes you have, the description of what they are-t-shirt, sweater, blouse, shorts, jeans, dress pants, How do you like it; Condition of the garment; What do I need to do or add.

The worksheet is in TEAMS under Files, Class Materials.  If you can’t print the worksheet, make your own with columns using the underlined titles above.  Use extra paper if you need to.

Itemize this list with everything your wear and you have but don’t wear; and there is a place to add what you want  and need to add to your wardrobe on the back of the worksheet. (use paper if you can’t print).

MIXING & MATCHING

Look up several websites. (record them)

Choose a color you could use as a foundation (base) for a mix-and-match wardrobe. { Example:  I would pick Black dress pants, white blouse, 2-3 different color scarves, 2 different colors of wraps or jackets (blazers, or denim); and khaki skirt.  I can wear all of the things together and have several different outfits with 3 basic pieces -pants, skirt, blouse.}

StitchFix is a good site, there are several others.

You can draw the outfits or cut pictures from magazines.

ACCESSORY WARDROBE-(worksheet)

Make a list of your accessories and describe them- scarf, sweater, jacket, purses or bags, jewelry, etc. (what color each is) don’t forget the shoes!!

Make a list of the accessories you need to add-be specific- item and color

SELECT APPROPRIATE CLOTHES for the following occasions and describe them:  1) clothes for a football game; 2) a date to the movies; 3) a place of worship; 4) to school; 5) a job interview (any job has a basic interview dress code); 6) a trip (flying) to San Francisco; 7) clothes for a formal “black tie” event; 8) for yard work; 9) to work in an office; 10) wear for a wedding; 11) clothes for a funeral

Use colors and garment styles in your descriptions.
