Description
 Course Description: the course is an introductory course for Grades 9 and 10 designed to show the relationship between chemistry and physics in the following topics: motion, waves, energy transformations, properties and changes in matter, critical thinking, and the safe manipulation of laboratory apparatus and materials. Students who have completed Chemistry may not take Integrated Physics and Chemistry.

Research a major oil spill.  (Here is a list of suggestions: 11 Major Oils Spills
 
Create a PowerPoint in which you discuss:
  1. The economic cost
  2. Damage to the ecosystem including living things.
  3. Cost of clean up/containment including ways they are using to clean up/contain.
You will also work as a group to research a method of oil clean up for a lab we will do.  Bring your cleanup method and we will test it in class.  Video your test and upload it to Flipgrid.
