HEALTH COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course: Health Education

Credit:                   0.5 (Fall & Spring)

Grade Placement: 9th - 12th

Course Description: is a one-semester course that is planned to educate adolescents to properly care for themselves as they prepare to enter adulthood. Topics included are alcohol and drugs, venereal diseases, chronic health conditions, family life, consumer health, preventable diseases and personal hygiene.

 

 

Course: Sports Medicine I & II

Credit:                   1.0 credit

Grade Placement: 10th – 12th Course Description:  provides practical career oriented content for students interested in athletic training or sports medicine.  This course will include anatomy, injury prevention, recognition, and rehabilitation.
